Segment 2 Questions - Cody Robertson

Hi Ari,

I was wondering if you can clarify 2 themes expressed in the archetypes:

1. power: I know its been referenced with Scorpio – is this the correct/appropriate association? If so, can you also clarify why.
2. freedom: I’ve heard reference to Sagittarius. also Aquarius. Is Sagittarius more the concept/belief and Aquarius the literal liberation…? Maybe I’ve misinterpreted.

sub Q: With Sagittarius – the themes of belief systems vs direct insight/experience. Wondering if this is correlated to different stages of development or is that an independent consideration. for example: belief systems/philosophical frame works being consensus vs direct experience being individuated/spiritual stages..?

Yes. Power in the sense that power is a creative force that comes for our soul identification. What we are most attached to relative to desire will determine the limit or extent of our own personal empowerment. As one example, being in an abusive relationship and not knowing how to get out/ make any changes reflects a personal state of disemopwerment. Being open to change and letting go means we are releasing our attachment and focusing on our innate soul agency, which is a greater state of power and strength that comes from within.

Power ultimately comes from our ability to align with our soul evolutionary program. This is to differentiate between force or manipulation which relates to a false sense of power (power over another, vs innate power). With this power comes actual changes, actual “powers” so to speak. The ability to withstand more confrontation, greater soul resiliency, deep psychic awareness.

Yes. Freedom in Sag is the freedom to have direct experience, to be without contrition or forcing oneself into an existing concept/ belief structure. The way I describe is is the truth tastes like freedom: authentic insight will always create more space and induce a sense of expansion and freedom.

With the Aquarius archetype freedom relates more to freedom from the conditioned mind: the precedent of all that has become known (defined, crystalized, who we have known ourselves to be). Freedom relates to our essential nature, our unconditioned state. It doesn’t have anything to do with insights or the process of realisation and higher learning. It’s more a statement of what we are in our essence: free, not conditioned.

It can be applied at any evolutionary stage.  So it’s possible to form beliefs that are not rooted in personal direct experience just as much as direct insight/ experience is possible at any evolutionary stage.
