Hi all,

I really appreciated the simplicity and openness of Amy's question on Miracles. It's the kind of question that points me back to what I actually really want to know and reminds me of the importance of beginners mind/ sincerity in learning. I want to share a bit more of what I learning about miracles and how it relates to Pisces.

Typically, we think of miracles as some kind of magical shift from normal reality, like otherwise "impossible" things, from the point of view of our understanding of the laws of nature, happening in the physical world. My understanding of miracles has more to do with the extension of love and forgiveness, and through that extension how we reflect to another their own sinless/guiltless nature and in so doing give the same to ourselves. Miracles happen on the level of mind. Body/physical conditions can change, but that isn't the essential purpose.

Here's a short video that explains this beautifully: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ok1RrUGjuo0

So from a Pisces point of view this correlates to the teachings on spiritual discernment. Refusing to agree with the suffering or sickness that another person is experiencing, and seeing only their wholeness. Or as I shared in class, deferring to a higher perspective in regards to any problems we think we have. This implies a sort of innocent, trusting attitude that we learn to apply in progressively more moments and experiences.

The pitfalls of this are when we think that we are the "doer" or when we designate ourselves to heal or help someone or a situation in the way we think it should happen. All kinds of issues from unnecessary sacrifice, enabling, depleting oneself to give to another, martyrdom for the sake of doing good etc can happen.

Indiscrimination in trust is Pisces as is spiritual discernment in regards to where we place our trust.

Miracles are not consciously selected but rather happen naturally, unassumingly and spontaneously as a consequence of extending only love. The affects of it are not of concern and that's why physical healing should not be associated with miracles, but rather just a consequence of them.
