Mercury in Pisces in the 11th

 

I see someone who is going to have a very unique perspective on how they see things.  They may have a very intuitive way of organizing their thoughts and seeing the world.  They may feel alienated from others and have a hard time making the connections to express themselves and how they see the world.  There may be a lot of what they see as an almost subconscious thing.  But it would be more of an intuitive sense of knowing things.  I feel like this could be hard to explain to others and this could add to how they feel alienated.  I feel like this will be something they come into as they age and learn to accept who they are.  As they learn to embrace this individuality, they will get better at describing what they feel and or intuitively know.  This will set them apart from others and how they react to that is going to determine how this plays out.  If played well, they will be able to bring their ideas and thoughts into reality and find a way to articulate them in ways that can be understood.  If not played well, I see them as isolating themselves and feeling more alienation that pushes them towards an inward spiral that isolates them even more.  It is going to be a thing of learning to bridge how they see and feel things with others who are less inclined to get what they see.

This is accurate except for the repetition of the word "intuitive". That would be accurate if we were looking at Jupiter. Mercury is building a picture of the world through empirical logic. In Pisces 11th it is whole picture oriented and elevating to see the interconnectedness between all things, but it's pieces together logically, empirically. The issue here can be that it doesn't conform to the "group" thinking patterns of one's community or the world. So there can be a sense of not being understood or struggle in conveying ideas. 

1- If Mercury corresponds to memory recall, what are the gifts and limitations of the soul's memory recall in these signatures? 

 

They may have a very unique way of thinking and seeing things.  They may even have a very unique way of remembering things.  Something that could be hard for even them to put their finger on.  They may have a very active imagination and find themselves fantasizing and letting their mind wander.  They would most likely make a good fiction writer.  They may have a picturesque quality to memory that would complement fantasy very well.  I feel like it could also be a feelings-based thing, such as musical lyrics or poetry.  It could play out in art as well.  I see the limitations coming in being able to convey the message in a relatable way.  Their uniqueness is likely to be genius if cultivated well and trusted.  But it is going to be the ability to bring it down to earth that is going to make them relatable. 

Excellent. Glad you mentioned the wandering mind - it can get incredibly abstract and intangible, like far out and something no one else can understand.

Mercury in the 11th in general can have what we call a "photographic memory" this is being able to retain large amounts of information through direct perception/witnessing that is then stored in the individuated unconscious. For some, Mercury in this signature is the ability to access these larger stores of objective memory. So easily memorizing the lyrics of an entire Leonard Cohen poem. The Pisces orientation here is logically grasping how all things ultimately interconnect and are a part of the oneness; the soul or oriented towards a unification of thinking that is ultimately inclusive.

The limitation would be the logical conclusions formed may be based on a delusion of logical thinking that's attempting to make it all fit together but is actually projecting its own thought as a way to create cohesion and synthesis. Like a crazy conspiracy theory that's developed based upon a series of data and facts that the mind uses to conclude something that has no basis in reality. But to this soul, it can be true because it's all logical in the mind.

2- What is this soul's general way of communicating about what they know?

 

I see them as getting flashes of insight into things and that could take them down a lot of rabbit holes that give them insight into things they are interested in.  I feel like this could play out in a bunch of different ways.  I can see it coming through in a symbolic way of seeing things.  Where they see meaning in pictures, scenarios, or stories.  I see this possibly coming through in art or music.  I can see this coming through in writing that could be based in a lot of different styles.  Such as fantasy, mythology, or something more feeling based like music.  It will likely be very intuitive and fluid.  They may not be everyone's cup of tea.  But if they are able to allow themselves the freedom to cultivate their individuality, they will probably find a style that conveys what they can see.  But it will be a game of bringing it down to earth and landing it so that others can relate.  That will be the key here.  

3- What kind of information/learning/data collection might this soul be drawn to study or investigate? 

 

They may be very good at being able to see things in a big picture kind of way.  They could be very spacious in their thinking and broad.  Because of their ability to see the bigger broader picture I feel like they will get flashes of insight that change how they see things.  When combined with that ability to see the interconnectedness they are going to likely be fascinated with topics that take a broader view of things.  I see them as being good at philosophical topics, or religious study.  They may also be good at seeing a broader pattern in things, that could make them good at something like climate or weather work.  I feel their imagination may draw them to fantasy.  I also see a strong possibility of being interested in mythology or astrology.  Something with a lot of meaning to it

Excellent, though I sense you may need some help in synthesizing the Pisces with the 11th house. The fantasy writing and interests etc are Pisces - combined with the 11th house it would relate to areas of the future, (such as sci-fi) or innovation from conditioned ways of thinking. The idea of fantasy is bringing in the imaginal: what comes from a sense of inspiration and lack of boundaries in the minds thinking. So there is a draw towards an ultimately unity of thought as it relates to the intelligent design of life (11th house). 

4- What is a way the soul might become trapped in identification in the limitations of linear thinking? What might be the way out of it for this soul?

 

I see the limitations being based on getting lost in trying to convey what they see.  This may be a significant hurdle for them.  If they are not able to see how their audience is receiving them, they could get lost in a feeling of alienation and feel isolated.  For example, if they are into mythology I can see them getting so deep into the weeds sometimes that they don’t see that their audience is not understanding what they mean.  They may get so pleased with how they make a connection to things that they spend a lot of time thinking through that lens.  And the deeper they go the less they are received.

Their way out is a consistent checking in to see how they are being received. Grounding themselves in the details and mapping out the story in a way that others, even if not into mythology can understand.  Bringing things down to earth is the way they are going to prevent themselves from getting so lost in the weeds that they end up isolating themselves. 

Yes and this would be the Virgo polarity to the Pisces: mental discrimination. Do my logical ideas actually make logical sense, or am I deluding myself? The ability to be critical and thoughtful about one's own thinking as opposed to getting lost in abstract fantasy.

I can also see them possibly thinking the connections they can see that others can’t are meaningless.  That they are insignificant because they are so hard to get others to see.  To make sure they continue to let the flag be seen and not shy away from making the effort to communicate what they see.  So, insignificance. 

Great observation. In fact Pisces 11th house can be social insignificance. My thoughts/ perceptions aren't tangible, no one will understand them, or I don't see the way others do. So just a sense of smallness and futility.

On the note of futility there can be a mind set of futility in regards to the future of human social development, technology, media etc. I.E. this idea that AI will take over and that humans will be run by machines and seeing the world through this lens of despair, hopelessness.

Or in general forming a logical basis for seeing life as hopeless, humanity being beyond repair, disillusioned by all the separate groups and ways we argue and separate from one another, with some narratives gaining dominance over others.

I also see a possibility of escaping into their inner world or starting to believe in delusional things.  Possibly getting trapped in thinking they are helpless or having a fear of never being able to connect.   I feel like eventually in this life if that is their tendency the delusion will start to dissolve if that is the case.  

Great. I don't know why you'd think the delusion will start to dissolve. It may or may not of course.

I see them being in a good space if they find an individual contributor type scenario for work or interactions with others.  Something that gives them a lot of space to explore their vast inner world and find a way to bring it to others.

I'm glad you brought up this point. Pisces will be an instrument of greater meaning and act with no discretion for who or what it serves. An instrument for the "water" to pour through indiscriminately. So this soul may find themselves playing the role of providing information, knowledge, data, technological information and education etc. for communities of all kinds. Imagine setting up wifi in underprivileged communities that tend to be ignored and underserved. Or a community resource online or for some kind of public company etc.
