Hi Ari,  I gather the 1st house even if intercepted by the 12th will not be conditioned by the 12th? 

If the 3 house ( Gemini) is totally intercepted and has no planets or real estate and on the polarity Sagittarius 9th has mercury in detriment. 

Does this point to the persons cognitive abilities and grasp ? 

I understand there are so many different other factors but intelligence and cognition mostly related to Gemini, Virgo and Aquarius  ( not the inner knowing part)

In case this needs clarifying for you or anyone - f Gemini is intercepted, than Sag will as well. House conditions will always mirror one another. We're not at planets yet so I won't address that, however I don't work with detriments or things like that.

Also, the meaning of interception in each individual chart needs to be understood on a case by case basis. We'll have the chance to get to more examples of this in time.
