1- What is the wound or sense of being wounded?  How might the soul feel that there is something chronically broken about them?

I feel this is going to be someone who is wounded by their ability to trust their understanding of big picture ideas and philosophies and what they believe about it.  I see them as someone who possibly has trust issues based on self-esteem or self-worth.  I feel like they can have a very intuitive sense of ideas and philosophies that comes through in a very tactile or physical way.  A sense of knowing something is right when they can feel it.  The problem would seem to come when it comes time to convey this or make sense of it within and trust it.  Learning to trust themselves and their ability.  They may have been alienated in the past for sharing beliefs about things that went against others.  Possibly leaving them exposed due to alienation, and they may not feel they can survive if they open up.  Possibly a past life situation.  I think they may have a hard time explaining what they understand and feeling they are understood.   Or their beliefs can just be different from others, and they may feel that questioning deep within of whether or not they can trust what they feel to be true.  I feel it would take a lot to move them to change a belief.  Needing to see the value in it and knowing that it is true from within.

2- What might the path of self-healing/ Making one’s medicine look like?

Learning to open up and explore other possibilities linked to their beliefs and philosophies.  Trying to see the alternatives as adding to their beliefs as opposed to a challenge or personal failure that they didn’t know before.  Being willing to put in the work to exhaust all the opposing viewpoints and getting curious about them.   Being willing to learn enough about them to gain an understanding that is complete so that they can make an informed decision.  But also sticking with their intuitive knowing of what is worth the effort to explore.  Learning to trust their self-esteem and self-worth that they have what it takes to understand something fully.   I feel this is a balance of intuition and curiosity.  Also learning to trust themselves to have an understanding that is their own.  Not letting others deter them from investigating certain avenues because of a threat of alienation.  They are probably not going to feel they are accepted and that their beliefs are part of a mainstream or something that a majority are with them on.  But they are going to need to ride that fear and do it anyway.

3- How might the soul avoid / deny / resist their own vulnerability and thus, avoid cultivating the medicine?

I can see this playing out possibly by limiting who they talk to about these ideas and philosophies. Not being willing to be challenged by somebody that could threaten what they know. Making their world smaller and only filled with people that agree.  They could even get preachy and try to convince others that they are right.  Which in turn would mean that others are wrong.  THis would allow them to lift themselves up and bolster their self-esteem.  I can see them as exaggerating certain points they feel are unimpeachable or that seem to peak others interest in their argument.  I can see them trying to bring others to their cause.  Trying to convince as many people as possible to make it seem as though their beliefs are bigger, and therefore better and more right.  They could also keep their beliefs to themselves and not share them for fear of getting in a spot where someone disagrees or challenges them.  Only letting loose when they are alone and or with someone who they agree with.

This is likely going to trap them in a limited space.  And they will need to confront this sense of rightness and be humble about it to move on.  It will require a great deal of curiosity and humility.  But the growth here will be huge if they can open up.

4- In what ways might the soul create experiences where they are re-creating wounding experiences for themselves or others?

I see this as more of the same.

Trying to be right and or lying about their knowledge and how their understanding of things is currently.  Exaggerating or adding things they hadn’t considered on the fly to act as though they had understood things all along.  Just in general telling people if they don’t agree with them, they are wrong.  Staying in their limited view of things and in circles that only agree with them to limit their exposure to alternatives.  Getting defensive and firing back when confronted with the possibility of being wrong.  Once again keeping their true understanding to themselves as to never expose them to arguments that challenge their position.  Not being willing to look at themselves deeply enough to see that some of what they learn from others that challenges their beliefs can bolster their views, as opposed to being a threat.   Always needing someone else to be wrong in order for them to be right.

You got the essence of it - I appreciate the last sentence. This signature it could be hard to shift a stubborn philosophical attitude. And in this case, the pattern of chiron brokenness in all the ways it could express. Just digging real deep in there and not budging.

There's a slight mixing up of this archetype with Uranus. It's not about not being a part of mainstream per se, though Chiron is very differentiating in it's nature. However the way you expressed it is more Uranian "not going to feel accepted... mainstream are with them on..." which emphasizes group belonging/inclusion.

The Chiron wound and its medicine is intimacy with one's inner condition. Yes it differentiates one from the "normalcy" of what appears to be non-wounded or not-broken out there, but this happens in a Chiron way: the way of making medicine from wholly embracing one's condition and giving oneself.

Check out some other posts and my responses to them on this question to get a better feel for the medicine making of this signature.

The essence of what you expressed here is correct but needs some refinement. In particular these two ideas is what I hear you touching upon: either becoming isolated from within oneself and not sharing one's truth. This would happen based on a deeply internalized sense of lack of value in one's capacity to know or understand. Or two, being stubbornly fixed as a matter of overcompensation for inwardly not believing oneself to know but outwardly making oneself appear to know. A certainty that denies their own vulnerability.

I also see you touching up on the Scorpio 3rd polarity in some of what you wrote. The Scorpio 3rd is about deep psychological analysis, the ability to question things deeply and get to the bottom line of any logic. Relative to Taurus 9th, this can be pushing the soul out of any kind of stagnant philosophical framework that isn't actually authentic for that individual.

Yes except the last line. It's not about not agreeing with people as much as needing to be affirms one's sense of value by way of being right oneself.

Staying in their limited view of things and in circles that only agree with them to limit their exposure to alternatives.

Things like that speak to the Saturn/Uranus dynamic, not so much Chiron. How we fit into or differentiate outselves from groups consensus. So if this was an Aquarian thing, such as Uranus in the 9th, it would mean sticking with groups of people that share the same views so as to not induce insecurity, but then to be confronted with the inevitability of conformity/ being different even within those groups.

Getting defensive and firing back when confronted with the possibility of being wrong.

No, that would be Mars or Aries in the 9th

Once again keeping their true understanding to themselves as to never expose them to arguments that challenge their position.  Not being willing to look at themselves deeply enough to see that some of what they learn from others that challenges their beliefs can bolster their views, as opposed to being a threat.   Always needing someone else to be wrong in order for them to be right.

Not so much for this signature.

Thank you for your work and efforts Bill. Definitely check out some other posts and my commends to grasp this signature a bit more fully.
