Ari, you said you would speak to this topic after we learn the nodes. I would love to hear your explanation of what happens if somone is born under a solar or a lunar eclipse and how the two are different in their effects.
Thank you!

Ok great! Perfect timing. First, I can't say I am an expert at this and I am sure there are more intelligent/ long term observations others can offer. I'm just going to share my own personal experience and insight into the matter. As always, I don't see this by any means as a single hard fast rule, but there are some basic correlations to offer here.
First, the basic mechanics of this are, the Sun and Moon are on one or both of the nodes to have been born on an eclipse. During a solar eclipse the Moon will cover the Sun during a New Moon - and this can happen on the South Node or North Node. During a Lunar eclipse, both the Sun and Moon will respectively be on either node.
In transit I generally see eclipses are portals that open up and active so to speak to evolutionary dynamics of the nodal axis. It can bring up A LOT of content that wants to be integrated and released and also move a lot of energy through.
Natally it's the same thing. When a solar eclipse is focalized on a SN this is going to emphasize the SN dynamics in a very strong way. It can either reflect a strong intent/purpose to bring past matters to resolution and/or bringing something forward that wants to be further expressed. It's a powerful amount of energy. When a solar eclipse is focalized on the NN this places strong emphasis on the soul's evolutionary direction - dynamics will be released and moved that pertain to where the soul is intending to evolve.
In both cases it can be both a lot of growth or a lot of stress pushing for growth. Same in natal chart as in transits - we just need to see it in context.
When a Lunar eclipse happens on the nodes it highlights the tension between the past and the future and will stress the same points as above but simultaneously, as per the nature of a full Moon, it's naturally very charged and dynamic.
That's what I got. Again again I'm sure there's more well observed and more astute observations others could share. In chat's I've seen I've seen this to be very energized. Donald Trump is a well known example of a Lunar eclipse baby with the Sun being on the NN. I think we have to really get underneath the soul itself and ask "what does this mean for this soul. Why so much potency here?"
Thank you, Ari. The whole thing feels kinds of ominous, and I was wondering if we could say that one trumps the other, as in Luna, the emotional body, obscures the brilliance and the purpose of the sun?
Or in the case of the Lunar eclipse, the masculine solar principle opresses and obscures the more subtle light of the feminine emotional principle?
I don't know, it's not something I have tuned into deeply enough to comment on. Other than the significance of the placements of the sun and moon on the nodes, i.e. which nodes they fall on, is evident to me. I'd say this is something you can probably observe/ take note of in your own tracking.
