::edit: this will be our practice chart for Dec 11th office hours
Hi everyone
Dawn shared this info with my about her friend Ailsa. I'm just directly cutting and pasting what Dawn sent me in an email:
*******
Here is a chart I am curious about. My friend Ailsa (she had given me permission to talk about her life/chart and written a bio below).
She has the AC squaring the Lunar Nodes and conjunctions with both Nodes.
This woman's life (in spite of her accessible bio below) has been VERY interesting and unusual. I was going to say, "she could write a book", then I realized - she has.
Q. Would you want more info about her life than she has included in the bio?
In my opinion, the most interesting Soul aspects of her life are not in the bio.
I have permission to talk about whatever comes up but don't know if you are wanting students to know "everything" beforehand?
I know both her partner and her parents and am infinitely fascinated by the unusual, deep and provocative ideas, dynamics, relationships, that are playing out.

"My name is Ailsa Keppie and I am the creator of Pleasure for Health and Owner of Our Celtic Hearth Wellness Center. I am 52 years old and enjoy living in Nova Scotia, Canada on the land I grew up on. Although I was born in Zambia and have travelled, studied and lived in multiple countries there is more connection here than I was aware of. I have 4 daughters in their 20’s, an ex-husband, and a new partner who has moved to live here with myself and my two aging parents. I have one brother who is 50 that now lives in the same area with his wife and 2 kids. We are not that close in our everyday lives but feel family connections when we are together. We chose quite different life paths I think.
This is what I have on my Youtube channel also.
"As people we need a way of integrating all aspects of our body, mind and spirit. At our centre we include the land we live on, the food we eat and our relationship to our body and to others including our sexuality, to embrace our innate wholeness. As human beings, we have a need for touch, connection and intimacy that goes beyond the superficial material constructs of today’s western culture.
Covering aspects of embodied ethics, integrative views on transforming the patriarchal power structure inherent in our world, and using pleasure and the power of choice and voice; we can help to guide you in recreating a life you are in love with.
We incorporate our body’s wisdom, re-calibrate our nervous system, and engage our soul and spirit in our healing. It can be especially effective for trauma recovery, reconnection with our true self, and expanding the possibilities for desire, joy and ecstasy to be more present in our everyday experience".
This is the info on Amazon with her book, her autobiography, By The Light of The Crescent Moon.
"Ailsa is a lifelong student of self-awareness and spiritual connection. She finds expression of her personal view on life and relationships through writing, coaching and working with the body. Expanding the feeling of aliveness both in herself and the people she comes into contact with is something she finds enriching and fulfilling.
In her younger days, Ailsa desperately sought fulfilment and inner peace. She studied music, science, dance, and the performing arts in an attempt to find her place and a way to contribute to the world. During this time of expansion and exploration, there was an underlying fear. Fear that she was not enough, fear of not being perfect, and a fear of being seen. At the age of twenty-five, these fears consumed her and she retreated into Fundamentalist Islam, and a polygamous marriage. She started wearing a burka in an effort to regain some sense of herself. Over the years, as she nursed her mother-in-law and raised four daughters, the containment of her chosen life became too constricting and she began to wonder if this path was truly the one for her. Finally, the overwhelming desire to once again be seen in the wider world prevailed and she left her life in Morocco to return home to Canada.
She continued to raise her daughters on her own and spent a decade learning and practicing the healing arts, which has finally led to a readiness to share her story, from a place of self-knowing. Through the process of diving deeply into the religion of Islam and living that way of life for many years, she has learned to embody the diversity of another culture as well as the ‘way of peace’ that is Islam. Ailsa continues her work these days with somatic coaching, teaching and writing. She focuses on healing relationships—with ourselves, others, and the planet".
