In 1892, Alexander Berkman attempted to kill industrialist Henry Clay Frick, who had used violence against steelworkers on strike. This was the last time a civilian American attempted the political assassination of a major corporate executive.

That was at the height of the Gilded Age, but the public's response was very different. Berkman was publicly excoriated and widely condemned as an agent of foreign radicalism, while Frick (“the CEO”) was put on a victim pedestal. The American public also turned against the steelworkers, and Berkman was sent to prison.

What do we make of this, in light of the Mars-Pluto opposition? Not the premeditated murder 'in the daylight', but the hatred and raucous ridicule of the CEO/”the industry” accompanied by jokes and laughter all over social media? To draw a chart would be mundane, but has anyone seen such a discussion? Any thoughts?

Such a very differnet mood amoung "the people" huh, Jesse? I do believe the public perceives the Elites quite differently than we did 130 years ago. Interesting event to bring to our attention. Thanks.
