Saturn corresponds to structure, form and definition: everything that is conditioned in our lives. Uranus on the other hand points to our essential, unconditioned nature and that which is not defined by any known parameters. The tension between Saturn and Uranus points to where there is both the necessity to integrate and define ourselves within the conditions of the social reality of our incarnation (Saturn) while also embracing this lifetime as an opportunity for liberation and freedom from the parameters of the known (Uranus). Too much stress on Saturn leads to repression and stiffness, while too much focus on Uranus results in a chaotic and frenetic state of consciousness that cannot be mastered and integrated. These two planets also speak to a natural relationship between the need to belong, and integrate within society and culture, and the need to individuate; to liberate from the precedent of one's known social reality.
In this deeply insightful talk, Ari and Jason explore the innate ways that Saturn and Uranus can be understood in relationship to one another in our own natal charts and in transit, highlighting both the challenges as well as the ways they compliment one another. Various examples given throughout the talk. Originally taught in the 2024 Jeffrey Wolf Green Association online conference. 2 hour 3 minutes.
