About The Relationship, Composite and Synastry Course
One of the gems of astrology is its use for providing insight into our relationship needs and how our relationships always reflect and point us back to our core soul evolutionary dynamics. Relationships have such immense spiritual potential, and using astrology as a tool to unlock this potential is incredibly valuable.
The purpose of this course is too practice and apply our understanding of relationship as a path towards soul evolution and spiritual healing. We will learn the core relationship significators in the natal chart as well as the basic philosophy, skills and practice of synastry and composite chart interpretation from an evolutionary perspective.
The teachings of this course will be offered in two segments. Join just segment 1 or the entire course. Both segments will be taught ON LOCATION as well as online.

Segment 1: Relationships and the Natal Chart
Part 1 is devoted to teaching the basics of the core relational dynamics in the natal chart. Included:
- Relationship as a path to soul evolution
- Core relationship dynamics in the natal chart.
- Pluto as it relates to sexual desire and sexual compulsion.
- Venus aspects in natal and synastry
- Dedicated time for live chart work with life participants
Part I: Relationship from an Evolutionary Perspective
In this introductory segment we will examine the meaning of relationship from a spiritual, evolutionary perspective: why we come together and the deeper meaning of the relationships we all experience in this life. Themes: Soul-evolution, needs and values, dynamics of compatibility, forgiveness, as well as the various different relationship types and forms of relationship that manifest in our lives. Ari will identify the core houses and planets that correspond to our relationship needs, and introduce the use of composite charts and synastry analysis as a path for understanding the evolutionary potential of any relationship.
Part 2: Pluto, Desire and Sexual Compulsion
Pluto, which corresponds to the deepest desires and motives for this human life, naturally corresponds to our sexual desires and compulsions. This can be understood for every Pluto signature, whether or not it is in a “sexual house” placement. In this talk Ari will first introduce Pluto as corresponding to the archetype of desire, obsession and sexual compulsion. Then he will give an analysis of Pluto through the 12 houses through the lens of sexual desire and obsession. Chart examples will be given as he moves through each house.
Part 3: Venus in Aspect
While Venus corresponds to our essential inner self-relationship, and how that inner-relationship extends into the kinds of outer-relationships we will attract and experience, no Venus ever truly stands alone in the natal chart. Once we look at the aspects Venus forms with other planets we begin to unravel some of the more nuance specific karmic dynamics involved in each person's inner and outer relationship journey. In this class we will examine Venus in aspect to all the planets, focusing mostly on the outer planets, offering chart examples for each. Examples will be applied to natal charts, synastry and composite charts.
Part 4: Live Examples
In this segment Ari will work with a handful of live student volunteers (both those participating Zoom as well as those live in Paris) to exemplify the teachings and specific relationship dynamics in each person's natal chart.
Devotional Love Music with Ari
For those live and also streamed on Zoom, Ari will close the event sharing his music as a devotional space for reconnecting with our soul path, beyond the mind, and straight to the heart and true intimacy of the journey we are on.
Segment 2: Our Shared Evolutionary Journey
Segment 2 is devoted to teaching the basics of synastry and composite chart analysis, focusing mostly on nodal dynamics between two charts and other important chart interactions. Included:
- Nodal aspects and rulerships in synastry: picking up where we left off
- Inner to outer planetary aspects in synastry
- a special section devoted to Mars aspects in natal and synastry
- Dedicated time for live synastry and composite chart work with pre-arranged participants

Part 1: Synastry Analysis: Our Karmic Interaction
Synastry comparisons reveal the ways in which each individual soul path interacts with that of another. In this class we will learn the use of synastry comparison in order to identify the core evolutionary signatures in each soul's chart relative to one another. Our focus in synastry analysis will be rooted in working with Pluto, the nodes and the nodal rulers as well as specific planetary themes that relate to each soul's individual relationship needs and orientations as it relates to that of the other. Ari will also re-introduce the use of composite charts and how that can be usefully utilized along with synastry. Composite chart interpretation will be practiced throughout this entire segment.
Part 2: Inner to Outer Planetary Aspects
Like in a natal chart, the interaction between inner and outer planets reflect deeper and more existential evolutionary dynamics. It implies that behind the scenes of our “life as usual” is a deeper evolutionary process. This applies to all relationships as well – reflecting evolutionary needs to lay at the core of the outer life we all seem to be living with one another. In this class we will explore these themes, looking at various examples of inner to outer planetary alignments both in synastry and composite chart anaylsis.
Part 3: Mars in Aspect
While Mars corresponds to our basic will and desire nature, reflecting how we will act upon our desires and instigate activity in our lives to further our own soul journey. However, no Mars placement ever truly stands alone in the natal chart. Once we look at the aspects Mars forms with other planets we begin to unravel some of the more nuance and specific karmic dynamics involved in understanding each person's Mars function. This is important to understand in the context of a relationship course, as it is our Mars function that enables us to act upon our desires as well as to say no and be in conscious response to the multitude of relational experiences and confrontations we all face in life. In this class we will examine mars in aspect to all the planets, focusing mostly on the outer planets, offering chart examples for each. Examples will be applied to natal charts, synastry and composite charts.
Part 4: Live Examples
In this segment Ari will work with a handful of pre-arranged live student volunteers (both those participating Zoom as well as those live) to exemplify the teachings and specific relationship dynamics revealed through synastry and composite chart analysis.

While those with a firm foundation in Evolutionary Astrological will naturally be able to apply and work with these teachings more immediately, those who are new will also gain an immense amount of knowledge and insight.

No prior knowledge is required. This said, this is not a beginners course, so it's assumed everyone will have working knowledge of the basics. Naturally, those who already have a firm foundation in EA will gain a lot more skill and knowledge through this course. Otherwise, everyone who engages will learn a lot from this course My style of teaching tends to be both deep while universal and accessible to all levels.
I'll be bringing in volunteers who will be interacting with me live during class to exemplify all teachings. Charts will be prepared and available for student review prior to class.
The teachings of this course are relevant to all relationships of all kinds, not just intimate or romantic. The examples we will use will reflect that as well.
Yes, it's the same cost with the same exact product. Only differnce is the added joy of getting to be together in person for those who can make it.
I'll be doing this the way it is done at live conferences that also stream the lectures on Zoom. For those live, a screen projector will project my screen. For those on Zoom, you will see my Zoom presentation. I'll have all the lighting, microphones, camera, stands etc that I need to make this work well.
I will frequently pause to gather questions from Zoom participants as well as from those live.
